I’ve been quite absent from the site for awhile, due to work/life commitments. But I did want to make a quick link available to you that better showcases my work. Its not a perfect solution, but for now it will have to do!

Another year, another All-Star. After a successful 2010 run styling the NBA All-Star Game in Dallas, my team and I were invited back to provide creative direction for the 2011 event in LA.
While it seems like a fun opportunity to hang in LA for a week, in reality, managing a project like this takes months-2 months to be exact. After assembling an amazing team of dedicated stylists, tailors, etc, next came conceptualizing costume and beauty ideas for several dancer performances and reaching out celebrities like Cee Lo and Rihanna to coordinate their performance looks. Over the course of the 3 event days, I managed about 80 costume changes, dealt with a myriad of last minute issues, and worked with NBA executives to handle celebrity wardrobe concerns—all while battling bronchitis!
Over all, it was an incredibly successful experience and I can’t have asked for a better team to do it with! Please enjoy a few random pics from the All-Star game. Some pics are mine, some are borrowed, but all the people in them are styled by me ;)

I recently did a series of cute commercials for retail giant TJ Maxx. The team had several key trends to hit in these spots, including “Military”, “Sweaters”, “Lady Like Chic” etc. We were asked to use all TJ Maxx products and found some really amazing items- so many in fact I had to keep a few choice things for myself ;)

Here’s just one of the Cover Girl commercials Niki and I styled a few weeks ago. As you can see, they center around Jones Magazine, a new, upscale fashion mag that targets the fly and fabulous 30+ set.
Part of Jone’s Magazine’s transition from local Houston rag to a full-fledged national monthly, includes a new TV show “Keeping Up with the Jones.” The reality show focuses on the lives Jone’s Mag Editor-in-Chief and her staff and airs on the Centric channel each week. These Cover Girl commercials are being played before or during the run of the show.
